We always wanted to know why people called Dave “Super Dave”. So one night, at the bar we call Losers, Chris and I asked Dave why they call him “Super Dave”. Dave told us that awhile back there was a fight on Mass Street just outside of Losers. So Dave decided that he would take a closer look, so he started running outside to catch a glimpse of the action. At the same time that Dave was running outside, there was a Lawrence Police Car with a Cop by it trying to break up the fight. Dave, being a little tipsy while running at top speed, tripped and went flying head first toward the Cop car and ended up landing on top of the Cop cars hood. The Cop laughed and said that he looked like Super Man flying through the air. The name “Super Dave” stuck ever since.

One night, Chris and I sat down to talk and drink schooners with Super Dave. We were just sitting back and talking about the usual shit with Dave and all of a sudden Dave pulls out a half torn mask from his back pocket. Dave puts the half torn mask on his face and starts growling like a monster. Then Dave got up and starting growling at everyone at the bar, one after the other. One of the regulars at Losers told Dave to put the mask away because he was starting to scare people. Dave said fine and through his mask to the ground and sat back down. I retrieved Dave’s mask from the ground and gave it back to him. Chris asked Dave where he got the mask from and Dave replied, “I found it in the dumpster by my work”…
